Lake Wetumka

Lake Wetumka is a reservoir located in Hughes County, Oklahoma, United States. It was created in the 1960s by damming Wetumka Creek and is approximately 175 acres in size with a maximum depth of 42 feet. It is a popular fishing spot, with fish such as catfish, bass, and crappie being commonly caught. The lake also provides opportunities for boating, swimming, camping, and hiking. There are several campgrounds and recreational areas around the lake including Persimmon Point, Red Rock Canyon, and Turkey Creek.
